PROCESS TO CREATE LOGO

WE CREATE LOGO IN CALGARY FOR BUSINESS, EVENTS, PRODUCTS etc.

We will not reveal any confidential information regarding our client. The target for this article is to describe the process of making logo.
It’s difficult to cover all types of logos in one article, but in general, it’s important to use as few points as possible in the logo and make it as clean as possible.

1.BRIEFING WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY NEED.

In order to design your business the perfect logo design that targets the correct market and broadcast the right message, we need to grasp a strong understanding of your business and its audience. Submitting the questionary is necessary at the very beginning of the project.

Based on your responses, we will create a list of objectives that need to be met by the logo design, and agree on this with you before proceeding. This list of objectives forms the design brief, which will be used as a foundation for the decisions made during the design phase.

2.BRAINSTORMING and SKETCHING

When working on designs we start on paper, using numerous ideas and techniques, such as brainstorming and word mapping. This is typically a very organic process and can vary from project to project. Any idea that comes to mind will be sketched on paper to explore the full depth of potential ideas for the logo design. This is practically the most painful process, if our starting point is good it will lead us to the best possible solutions. Brainstorming and sketching sometimes may take up to 3days of active work. Next step is to select the best ideas and brainstorm it again.

One of the most important parts of any design process is research and discovery. This is where we will research and study your company, and competition, as well as the groups and individuals you aim to target. This research ensures I know your business inside out, so I’m able to design a logo that represents the uniqueness of the business or product. The research phase is also an opportunity to discover potential ideas which could be used as inspiration during the ideas generation phase.
As you can see, we had the idea of creating a “B” rolled in. With a general idea in mind.

3. TRANSFERING IDEAS INTO VECTORS

We experimented with the concept in Adobe Illustrator, creating some rough, vectorized logos. For some sketches which we did quickly by hand, we know how they’ll look digitally but sometimes look very different in our sketchbook.
Generally, we will begin with a second mindmap, of sorts, or keywords about the company, style of the logotype, symbol, colors what we may potentially use, the mood of the logo and so on.

STEP 1
STEP 2

We will only present design’s (multiple options) which we see adequate and also that we feel confident in, and will give you our opinion on which we believe will be most suitable for your business. We will leave the final choice to you, and if you feel the design could be improved or modified to better meet the objectives, changes will be made where necessary.

4. FINALIZING
